Days after a Santa Fe woman was attacked by two Pit Bulls, that also mauled her Chihuahua to death, some are taking a closer look at the city's animal ordinance.
The Chihuahua's owner, Anne Stills, told KOB Eyewitness News 4, nothing will reduce the amount of pain she is feeling both physically and mentally from losing her dog; but said, she plans to do everything she can to make sure this does not happen to someone else.
"It's my goal, to have an ordinance in this county that Pit Bulls are banned unless you carry $2 million dollars insurance with a 12 foot high fence and them on a chain," Stills said.
Since Stills lived to tell her story, she said, she is going to fight for change, in honor of her beloved 6 lb. Chihuahua, Lillie.
