KOB's Top 3 Story of the Year: The fall of Jerome Block | News
This year, it was a 4 On Your Side investigation led to the very public downfall of Public Regulation Commissioner Jerome Block Jr.
Our investigation into his gas cards and the resulting fallout is number three in our top 10 stories of the year.
In August, we uncovered pages and pages of questionable charges made by Block on his state-issued gas card.
Since then, our investigation has continued to expose fraud, waste and abuse by Block at the PRC.
Eventually Block admitted to being addicted to pain killers and resigned as a part of a plea deal with the Attorney General which would have let him avoid prison time under the condition that he successfully complete drug court.
After his third incarceration for violating drug court rules, Block was booted from the program and now faces the possibility of 4 and a half years in jail.
The fall of Jerome Block Jr. is number three in our top ten stories of the year.
Tune in Friday to find out what is story number two.
